Camper safety is of prime importance to us at Camp Butterfly Grove. While we offer innumerable opportunities for campers to expand their horizons, attend fun activities and enjoy the experience of being close to nature, their positive experience is only possible through most stringent safety standards.
Camp Counselors
Our counselors are experienced educators and have been handpicked for their positive attitudes toward young children and their ability to bond and empathize with kids of all ages.
Low Camper-Staff Ratio
In order to give the best personal attention to our young campers, we have consciously kept a low camper-staff ratio (10 campers to every counselor); this ensures that we are always aware of each and every camper in our care and can keep a close watch over them.
Transport Safety
A secure bus is employed to transport children to and from the campsite; the driver is an experienced bus driver with an excellent track-record. No off-campus road-trips are made once the campers are at camp; the only road trips taken are to camp on the day of arrival and from camp on the day of departure.
Secure Cabins
Our cabins are constructed from wood and bamboo with a tented interior. All cabins are lockable.
Secure Campsite
Once the camp session is active, no outsiders are permitted on the premises. For understandable reasons, this rule applies to parents as well.
Emergency Vehicle
We have a vehicle on 24hours standby at camp in the event of emergencies.
Well Stocked First Aid Kit
We have a well-stocked first-aid kit at camp to cater to any minor aches, sniffles, bumps and scratches.
24 Hour on call doctor
In case of emergencies or illness we have a doctor on call to visit the camp at any time, day or night.
Food Safety
Only freshly cooked, hygienically prepared food is served at camp.
Water Safety
All drinking water served at camp is packaged mineral-water.
Safe Activities
All activities conducted at camp are designed with the comfort-levels of children in mind. No activity at camp is strenuous or hazardous to health and safety. All outdoor excursions are planned keeping the day’s temperature in mind.
Safe Play Areas
Play areas at camp are safe and secure; all areas are scanned constantly for harmful/dangerous objects. No camper will be permitted to explore without his/her group and a camp counselor in company. No camp member is permitted in the sea.
