About
Kidventure Camps for Kids
Kidventure camps for kids was created specifically to help children reconnect with nature, creativity and their imaginations. Our mission is to introduce children to the magic of nature and build within them a love for our environment. To sharpen their talents, build on their strengths and ignite a love for adventure, exploration and learning that will last a lifetime.
We periodically conduct workshops and nature hikes at Goa throughout the academic year but most excitingly - we conduct safe, secure sleepover camps at Goa for children during the school vacations.
Our campsite is situated at South Goa, safely enclosed within a fenced-in, private campus.
Kidventure Councillors are hand-picked trained educationalists, chosen for their positive attitudes and experience with young children. All our staff members are dedicated to making camp life fun, exciting and, most importantly, safe.
We offer every camper a beautiful stay in the heart of nature - to wake up to the sound of waves and birdsong, play in natural streams, hike amongst tall jungle trees and rejoice under the stars.
This vacation, give your kids a perfect opportunity to enjoy nature, bond as a team, build confidence, learn new skills and have the time of their lives!
Hi! My name is Karen and I am the founder and director of Kidventure. I started Kidventure so that I could share my artistic creativity as well as my knowledge of nature and my love for the environment with kids.
I have three years' experience as the principal of a school and I adore working with children. I believe in experiential learning and the fact that kids learn better by 'doing', it is this philosophy that I implemented during my tenure as principal and it gave young kids in my care the opportunity to understand their world better and actually think differently and solve problems creatively.
As the daughter of an Army Officer (and the granddaughter of Army Officers) I have enjoyed a beautiful childhood exploring the outdoors; adventure and a love for our environment is in my blood! It is this experience that I would love to share with kids, I believe children are missing out on the simplicity and magic of living close to nature. My husband is a retired Commodore from the Indian Navy and we live here in Goa.
I am also a nature photographer and have had my work published by National Geographic, and recently in The Hindu and The Times of India. I am eager to pass this passion for photography to young minds.
I have also brought out a book on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands which was released in the presence of our former President (and my personal hero) Late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.
As the mother of two very adventurous kids, I understand how vital it is to put a child's safety first. My primary focus will be to make your kids comfortable and happy at camp so that every learning experience they have will be a positive one. I will be staying on site, at Camp Butterfly Grove, for the entire duration of the camp. It is under my direction, that our activities, workshops, creative projects, fun and games will be conducted by camp councillors.
